Ed Nicoll : Ed has competed at World Cup and World Championship level in mountain biking and has raced at elite level as a road racing cyclist. Ed was the National Mountain Bike Team Manager for the British Cycling Federation’s World Class Performance Programme and has a diploma in Fitness Training and Sports Massage/Therapy. He has worked as a mountain bike guide for the British Olympic Association at their alpine training centre at Lofer, Austria.

Ed was the National Duathlon Champion (age group) in 2002 and 2003. He holds a MTB Technical Leaders guiding qualification with the Off Road Training Consultancy (OTC).

During the summer of 2005 he continued to race mountain bikes competitively, finishing the UCI World Cup Marathon at Oisans 36th and took 2nd place in the Transvercors 100km event. While employed with the David Lloyd Leisure Group, Ed was Health & Fitness Manager, Operations and General Manager at one of their Liverpool clubs.

Ed is a former member of the British Olympic Biathlon Team (cross country skiing & shooting) and the Great Britain Nordic Ski Team. He has over twelve years of racing experience on the international World Cup circuit and was three times national champion. Ed has represented Great Britain in two Nordic World Championships as well as completing both the Transjurassienne Ski Marathon (76km), plus the Foulée Blanche event in Autrans (42km), three times each. He is a qualified British Association of Snowsports Instructor (BASI) Nordic Teacher and has previously coached the GBR Biathlon Team. While serving in the British Army he was a six times winner of the prestigious Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent Trophy.

Sandrine Nicoll : During her career Sandrine has worked for the International Olympic Committee, during the Winter Olympics in Albertville and has been a team liaison officer for World Cup Nordic and Biathlon events. She has continued this role in support of the GBR mountainbike teams during World Championship events in Mt St Anne, Canada.

While living in the UK she worked for Boeing Operations International in the Human Resources Department. As a native inhabitant of the Vercors region, Sandrine has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the community after being employed in the local tourism and hotel industry. As a multi linguist and administrator she will be managing your booking and co ordinating your stay with Bikeandski–Vercors.

Chris Nicoll : A highly dedicated cyclist with a wealth of alpine riding experience Chris has been riding the Vercors roads for the last fifteen years. He is a versatile athlete and event organiser. Chris has previously been Regional Criterium (cycling) Champion and 1st category road rider. He has completed several “Ironman” and half “Ironman Triathlons”. In 2005 he was 4th individual in the UK Endurance Triathlon League. Chris use the Vercors for training himself and others for major multi sport events.
